FIELD INSPECTION

APPLICATION INFORMATION:

APPLICATION (Deadline) DATES:

December 31 (due date) April 15 (deadline) - Small Grains
March 1: Turfgrasses

April 15:  Weeping Lovegrass, Cool Season Grasses
June 15 (due date) August 1 (deadline) - Peanuts
August 1:  Cotton, Cowpeas, Mungbeans, Okra, Soybeans, Warm Season grasses, Sorghum
September 1:  Vegetatively propagated forage grasses


NOTES:
Two weeks prior to desired inspection - Alfalfa and other crops when this date is earlier than the established deadline. The Association assumes no obligation to inspect fields unless an application is filed prior to the deadline date, shows the fields to be eligible, and is accompanied by required fees.

INSPECTION FEES:
CROPS
VARIETY AND ACREAGE FEES PER VARIETY
  • cotton, small grains, soybeans, sorghum, ungbeans, guar, vetch and millet
  • alfalfa, clover, peanuts, grasses, okra,and sweet potatoes
  • turfgrass

$15.00 per variety plus $2.75 per acre up to and including 1,000 acres then $2.25 for each acre over 1,000.
$15.00 per variety plus $3.25 per acre up to and including 1,000 acres then $2.75 for each acre over 1,000.
$1000 application fee, $20.00 per acre up to 20 then $10.00 for each acre over 20.
NOTES:
A round trip mileage fee at the current IRS rate per mile will be charged on special trips (less than 50 acres per trip).

CONTRACT PRODUCTION:
There shall be a $5.00 contract grower fee for each crop variety inspected on each farm under contract. The term contract shall be defined as seed production on land under the operation of a person other than the person or firm making application for certification. 

REFUNDS:
All of the field inspection fee will be refunded if the Association office receives notice of cancellation before the application is issued to the field inspector.  Otherwise, no refund will be made unless the crop is totally destroyed by flood, hail, or other unavoidable cause.  In such cases, all inspection fees will be refunded.

FINANCE CHARGE:
After 30 days, a Finance Charge of 1 &1/2% Per Month($1.00 minimum) will be charged on all unpaid balances. This corresponding Annual Percentage Rate is 18%.
